Candle Diaries: Protection

Out of all the ways I could do a ritual, candle magic is a fine tool to test out manifestation thoery. Essentially that's what magic is or rather a grain of truth in it at least.

Candles are a great focal point, drawing both your attention & intention. Set it forth and straight especially in a white candle where the color represents purity & honesty applied.

Not too long ago was I introduced to this practice by my Youtube faves, Shonnetta's Divine Tarot & Behatilife. Through these channels I gathered the essentials, the ideas, and ways to manipulate this practice into something of my own.

I first started out by buying white votive candles. A pack of 30 to keep me sated and entertained. But that was just the first step. I further gathered my ingredients:

- Candle holder

- Ash (sage & palo Santo)

- Amalgam

- White Candle

- Essential oils: Lavender, Cornmint, Rosemary (3 drops)

- Pluto Transformation Oil

- Florida Water

- Cinnamon

- Crystals: Obsidian Snowflake (N), Obsidian (E), Bloodstone (S), Red Jasper (W), Rainbow Moonstone (Spirit)

*Crystals have cardinal directions assoc.

First and foremost I cleansed the space with my concoction of Sage and Palo Santo (bought from Pan's Apothika). I also cleansed my tools, crystals, and decks used. Once done. I then take the Florida Water and Pluto Oil to dress the votive and candle holder.

I mixed my ashes with cinnamon an swirled them into the shape of a triquetra. Now doused, votive rolled around, mixing a silver and brown dusting. Placed in candle holder, begin the droppage of essential oils: Orange, Lavender, and Cornmint. 3 drops each. Totally doesn't have to be in that oil. Then I drizzle my amalgam. (see post on Amalgam Praesidium Maleficium)

Flame began wide, strong then danced in a pump arm motion. It continued to burn the amalgam and oils pretty evenly.

I had to blow it out the first time because the flame got too big and hot and was afraid of the glass cracking again. (Happened before, pretty scary. Do fire safely. It won't ruin anything, even if you have to blow it out.)

The second go still crowded the top made ANOTHER big fire. Blew it out & the Smoke burned pretty concentrated but had a swirl to it. Went towards the air.

I poured more ash over it to calm down the fire. Burned slow but got high again. This time smoke came towards me.

Crowded the tip but moved out debris for more space.

Afterwards, automatic writing took over and I documented bits and pieces of conversations that flew through my head
